Isn't It a Wonder
I wonder what Mary was doing when she felt her first contraction.
I wonder if the thought of giving birth scared her.
I wonder what advice her friends and family gave her.
I wonder if Joseph was nervous.
I wonder if a midwife attended the birth.
I wonder who cut the cord, and what they did with the placenta.
I wonder if there was just something special about that labor.
I wonder if God chose to enter the world through a woman’s womb, not because it was the most humble way but because it was the most holy way.
“She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.” (Matthew 1:21)
